Backless Maxi

Sorry for the absence, I've been galavanting around wine country and San Francisco for the past week (photos to come).
In a rare moment of minimalism I decided to give this dress the credit it was due and kept the accessories to a minimum. It's amazing how a simple piece of jersey can make me feel so sexy, it hugs all the right places and shows exactly the right amount of skin.

Summer Salads

I love making lots of different salads to keep around for noshing and grazing.
This is a quinoa salad I made with some roasted butternut squash, goat cheese, thyme and green onion in a sherry vinaigrette, a beet salad with a cumin vinaigrette and a chicken salad with apples and walnuts in a mayo and lemon dressing.

I've also been rocking this sheer, drapey, burgundy beauty quite a bit recently.

Birthday Girl

Last weekend was my birthday and, as usual, I milked it for all it was worth. Spa and pool time with the girls followed by a night of revelry at Mabels on Main where there were cocktails named after me, where my friends danced and made merry and where I (along with DJ's Funkfinger, Kooky and Rolls Royce) spun a ton of vinyl. It was perfect.

You've seen this dress before in a slightly longer incarnation (and the tiara was forced on me by Megan, who you can't say no to, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't make me feel like a birthday girl).
