I've sold my house and am busy packing up all my worldly possessions, which is a chore to say the least, but on the bright side I have unearthed some gems that I'd forgotten existed. This carved eagle necklace was thrifted at least 7 years ago and has been buried deep in a cupboard ever since... such a shame when it could have been basking in the Phoenix sun like it is today. Better late than never I suppose. Also uncovered; some less exciting things like centuries old ice trays, dried up bottles of lotion and tins of unrecognizable food products (how this is possible I don't know as I'm weirdly obsessed with cleaning out the pantry)!
Sometimes the simplest outfits are the most effective. Love the denim on denim, menswear and skin in this shoot, not to mention the beach which looks oh so tempting.
It's 80 degrees and impossible to continue hiding under a layer of nylon. The tights are put away and the legs are out, pasty as a newborn, but I'm happy to have only one layer of undergarment positioned to slide up my derriere at any given moment. Hurrah for Spring.
The weather has been messing me about lately, sunny one minute, raining the next, what's a fashion conscious girl to do? Why, wear your summer and winter wardrobe all at once of course!
I wasn't really going for an 80's vibe but I seem to channeled Crystal unknowingly. I have an Arizona Costume Institute event at the Phoenix Art Museum tonight that I helped organize; A lecture on new media in fashion advertising with Andrew Boatman.
This bat wing extravaganza is in fact from some obscenely cheap and tacky shop called Hottiez, oh yes, with a 'Z'. It just goes to show, if you look hard enough you can find great fashion anywhere.
I wore this to a little evening soiree at The Desert Botanical Garden, the perfect place to watch the sun set.
